Celebrate Creative Writing with a Unique Workshop at the Brookline Teen Center
Do you have a creative child? Does she love writing and storytelling? Here’s an exciting opportunity to enhance his creativity and give him more opportunities to write!
Critically acclaimed author, workshop facilitator and Brookline parent Shari Becker will lead this four-week creative writing intensive. Novelist and teacher, Shari has written for Nickelodeon and Disney-owned companies; she has taught at professional writing retreats and run writing workshops at public and independent elementary and middle schools.
Students must be in 6th through 8th grade to participate and are encouraged to bring a laptop, an iPad with a keyboard, or a notebook, depending on how they prefer to write. (Keyboards make for easier editing.) Each class will include a short, skill-based lesson in addition to writing, sharing and feedback time.
Class days are: Wednesday, May 11, Wednesday, May 18, Wednesday May 25, and Wednesday June 1.
4:30 - 5:30 PM
The cost is $100. Please plan to attend at least three of the four sessions.
For more information about the teacher, the class or registration, email Shari at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: this is a class for students who are excited about writing. If you have a tween who is a reluctant or struggling writer, please contact me separately about private tutoring.
